"Five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes. How do you measure a year?"
What a year 2013 was. We are grateful for the blessings and opportunities we have been given. As well as the lessons we've learned. In 2013 we:
-Celebrated the start of the year with family
-Took a trip to St George with Annie & Victor before they left for Japan
-Watched our Little Lady learn to walk and grow and talk and so many more firsts
-Loved being able to teach part time with Jen
-Loved being able to be at home part time with Laila and Mason (Jen's baby boy)
-Did a few projects in our home in Avondale
-Bought a house closer to Michael's work
-Celebrated our Baby Girl's first birthday!
-Sold our first home
-Celebrated Michael graduating with his MBA
-Had family & friends come and visit throughout the year.
-Got Lasik eye surgery- it's amazing having correct vision after 20 years of glasses/contacts
-Finished my years of teaching
-Sent off my sister, Camille as a missionary to Guatemala
-Watched Michael sky dive
-Missed Michael when he was in Louisiana, Oklahoma, New England, India and China
-Found a new home for our amazing puppy. Our hearts are still broken but we feel it was a good decision for us.
-Have had A LOT of fun doing A LOT of great projects around our new house.
-And traveled to Utah x3, Chicago x2, my cabin, Seattle, Oregon, NYC, New Jersey, San Diego, Indiana, and Hawaii (phew. what a list!)
It really is amazing to have the opportunity to look back on all that can be accomplished in a year and I love the refreshed feeling and the renewed effort to be a little better that a new year brings. I'm excited to see what 2014 has in store! So here's to the next 525,600 minutes!
What a difference a year can be... Goodbye 2013!

You don't have your cute puppy anymore? :(
ReplyDeleteLaila has grown up so much, and you have all become quite the world travelers.
Happy New Year!
she's so big compared to last year's picture!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun year! that's so awesome that you got so much traveling done. I agree with your comment that even though we haven't seen each other in years it's really great to still keep up with each other through blogs, instagram, etc... I hope I can see you again soon Jennifer!
ReplyDeleteThat picture of Laila is PERFECT!
